Well, Christmas 2009 is in the books! It was a great Christmas season and such a joy to celebrate Brady's first Christmas!! As you can see from the picture the kids were wiped out with all the excitement! Unfortunately it all came to a screeching halt as Abby developed a severe bout of Strep Throat. She ended up having to have an injection to clear it up. She is on the mend and hopefully the new year will start out with everyone healthy and ready to welcome 2010!!!!! Happy New Year!
Well Santa arrived safely last night. Spoiling the kids as usual!! He left his wet footprint on Abby's sign she made him and of course as every year he left dirt by the fireplace! That guy is messy!!!! LOL Merry Christmas everyone!!!!
I cant remember any other year Abby has been this excited about Santa. She made him a sign and cookies and just went all out to welcome Santa. She watched the NORAD Santa Tracker ALL DAY!! The kids had matching Spongebob Christmas pajamas to wear tonight. They were so cute. Well, I hope Santa makes it safe and sound!
My favorite thing about the Christmas season is getting Christmas cards! I have always loved getting them and I send them out each year myself. I am a HUGE fan of Christmas cards and I hate when people dont bother to send them out. I know they are time consuming and can be costly but its one tradition I hope never ends. To me its like getting a small gift out of the mailbox each time one arrives. I know it might be silly but from the first card of the season to the last, they put a smile on my face when I get them!
We went to Lafollette to celebrate Christmas with Chad's parents on Wednesday. It was a great time. The kids enjoyed it alot. Abby played Santa and handed out the gifts. Shes so cute. Brady loved to watch someone else open all his gifts for him. He's such a silly boy. Merry Christmas!!
For Abby's Christmas party at school I was in charge of the sweet treat. I decided to make cupcakes and I wanted to do a Christmas/Winter theme. I decided to make snowmen cupcakes and after searching the internet I decided to wing it and I came up with these on my own!!!
On Sunday we went to my parents house in Spring City, TN to have our Christmas celebration. It was so fun! Abby and Brady got tons of toys and Abby ended up with 5 Justice gift cards---her favorite store! Chad got tools and woodworking stuff, don't ask me what it was called, I have no idea!! LOL I got the Keurig Special Edition Coffee, Cocoa, and Tea Maker! I'm excited to explore the world of owning a coffeemaker, its my first! We had a great time, great food, and it was great to see all my family!! Merry Christmas!!
I have decided instead of having two blogs for the kids we are only going to have a family blog. Seems blogging is the thing to do these days. Please hang in there with me, this is my first attempt at a "real" blog. I have done them for the kids but I would like to become a little more high tech with this one! So sit back, enjoy, and read about our family!!
