Just A Little Humor----

Here's a little joke I saw and thought it might brighten your day!!!

Two women friends had gone for a girl's night out. Both were very faithful and loving wives, however they had gotten over-enthusiastic on the Bacardi Breezers.

Incredibly drunk and walking home they needed to pee, so they stopped in the cemetery.

One of them had nothing to wipe with so she thought She would take off her panties and use them.

Her friend however was wearing a rather expensive pair of panties and did not want to ruin them.

She was lucky enough to squat down next to a grave that had a wreath with a ribbon on it, so she proceeded to wipe with that.

After the girls did their business
they proceeded to go home.

The next day one of the woman's husband was concerned that his normally sweet and innocent wife was still in bed hung over, so he phoned the other husband and said:
'These girls nights have got to stop! I'm starting to suspect the worst. My wife came home with no panties!!'

'That's nothing' said the other husband,
'Mine came back with a card stuck to her butt that said....

'From all of us at the Fire Station.
We'll never forget you.''

Hope you all have a wonderful day!!!!

Flower Power--Flowerbows!!!

My new hobby is to make flower hair/hat bows. I made all the flower bows above! I discovered these flowers at the Women Today Expo and they seemed simple enough to make. I found a bag of flower heads on clearance at Walmart for $1!! I had a blast making a few flowerbows and I cant wait to make some more. I am also in the process of making a bow holder for the ones I made Abby. I will post a pic of it when I get finished.

The Haircut!!!

Before

After

Wild---thats the word that best describes Brady's hair. It's thin, acts like it wants to curl but not quite!!! Well, after taking pictures the last few weeks I was so frustrated with it and I would wet it, gel it, comb it, nothing helped!! So after my mom said he looked like Donald Trump today that was it!!LOL I broke out the clippers and put the longest setting on it and away we went.

I was afraid he was cry and have a fit but it was just the opposite. He laughed and would set still waiting on the shears to run up his head. It was so cute!!!! Needless to say, I am a huge fan of boys with really short hair and looks like Mommy will be keeping him clean cut from now on!!!!!

Meeting Jennifer Stone

Abby got to meet one of her idols at the Women Today Expo this weekend. Jennifer Stone. Jennifer plays Harper Finkle on Wizards of Waverly Place and will be starring in the movie Harriet the Spy soon.

She hosted the Girl Powers fashion show at the expo. Then after the show she did a meet and greet and Abby was so excited. We had to go to Kinko's and print off a picture for her to get autographed. We stood in line for over an hour but it was well worth it to see her face when Jennifer said Hi to her!!

Opportunities like his are few and far between so I was so glad to be able to take Abby to see her!

Women Today Expo 2010

Well, I survived another year at the Women Today Expo in downtown Knoxville. I first experienced this event while working at JCPenney and they sent me there to work one year. OMG! I fell in love instantly, its such a fun experience. I love it and I have went every year since 1999!

We took Abby with us so she could meet Jennifer Stone. Jennifer plays "Harper Finkle" on Wizards of Waverly Place and is starring in the up coming movie Harriett the Spy. She hosted the Girl Power Fashion show at the Expo this year then did a meet and greet. Abby was so excited! She stood patiently in line for over an hour to get her autograph and it was WELL worth it!

I discovered the new trendy crochet hats with flower hair bows you can attach to them. I had seen them around but Abby didnt seem interested until today. She tried on on and fell in love with it. The booth for Clover Cottage in Fountain City was selling the hats for $2.99 and the hair bows were also $2.99. We ended up with 2 hats and 2 flower hair bows. After looking at the hairbows I KNOW I can make them so I told Abby we would let me try to make them and then all we would have to do is buy the hat!! SOOOO at Walmart I found a bag of flowers on clearance for $1.00 (Looked like where they had fallen off flowers and they put them all in a huge bag for a buck, not tooo bad for my test run)!!!! We will see how I do!

I also discovered International Flair in Turkey Creek! Oh my, what totally cute stuff they have. They sell the following plus more:
Kameleon Jewlery: Interchangeable fashion accessory system where you can interchange the JewelPops between necklaces, earrings, rings, sunglasses, pins, braclets, just about anything you can think of! So cute, will definatley be checking it out more soon.
Pandora Jewlery
and they are hoping to be getting Brighton soon.
I also got a really cool necklace for $8.00. But Im not sure what you call the style of this necklace but they had tons of choices and colors and I loved it!!

Thats what I love about the expo, they sell stuff way under what you would pay if you went to their stores! Great place to find cute stuff and cute ideas.

Overall it was wonderful as usual and I am so glad I can go every year and just enjoy all the shows, events, booths, and freebies!

Spring has Sprung.....I think

Today was an awesome day! It didnt start out that way but definately ended on a great note. Abby got up this morning and couldnt talk and she felt pretty bad, so we decided to let her stay home and rest. We ended up sleeping late (930a and thats SUPER late for us!). Then we met my mom in Oak Ridge for lunch. On our way home I mentioned what a pretty day it was and that Abby should ride her bike. She said no way it didnt have training wheels anymore (we took them off last summer as motivation and the bike just sat there, she was scared to ride it). So when we got home I just went and got the bike and said here get on it, she looked at me and said "you promise not to let me go until Im ready?" I said yes, she got on it and took off!!!! I didnt even get a chance to hold her or guide her!! She rode it for about 2 hours this afternoon. Needless to say she is sore and proud!!! I hope this is the beginning of a wonderful spring and summer!!

Words a mother will never forget: "Mommy I can feel the wind!" Thats what Abby said as she rode past me on her bike, smiling ear to ear! I almost cried!!!

Boys Will Be Boys

I just have to say that boys and girls are totally different when it comes to raising them. Brady will be a year old on April 22. Abby was such a quiet and easy baby, well Brady is a totally different story. He gets mad when he doesnt get his way, he stands up in his highchair to eat, he wants nothing more than to crawl up the stairs a gazillion times a day, and has the sweetest, cutest smile as he is doing all the things a baby should not do!! LOL

He loves to spend time with his Daddy and you can tell when he is missing him. However it seems his first word is going to be "mama baby". LOL I love it.

Now I am beginning to plan his birthday party....I cant believe its been almost a year!! Here's to a fun party and another wonderful year with my sweet boy.

St. Patrick's Day!

I LOVE St. Patricks Day. I guess I am a fan of little holidays others forget. Valentines Day and St. Patricks Day are great holiday's I think! We always go to Irish Times Pub for St. Patricks Day. It is SOOOO fun there. The menu is limited, drinks flowing, freebies, and universal seating!

Let me tell you about Universal seating. You go in and they seat you whereever there is the number of seats you need, yes you are seated with strangers. The first year we experienced it was kinda wild. I was a little uncomfortable and didnt care for it much but then I realized "Hey, meeting new people is kinda fun!"

This year we were seated with an older Irish lady named Martha who brought an entire party store with her, hats, stickers, green food color, wigs, buttons, it was insane but she was sweet. Her daughter Shannon was with her and she was sweet. I think the man with them was their cousin. He was nice too. Then we all toasted because Martha wanted us too!! A few min. later an older man named Jim joined us. He was so funny. It was super fun.

St. Patrick's Day is celebrated on March 17, his religious feast day and the anniversary of his death in the fifth century. The Irish have observed this day as a religious holiday for over a thousand years. On St. Patrick's Day, which falls during the Christian season of Lent, Irish families would traditionally attend church in the morning and celebrate in the afternoon. Lenten prohibitions against the consumption of meat were waived and people would dance, drink and feast—on the traditional meal of Irish bacon and cabbage.(History Channel info).

Here's some Irish Blessing, sayings, etc:If a man who cannot count finds a four-leaf clover, is he lucky? ~Stanislaw J. Lec

Anyone acquainted with Ireland knows that the morning of St. Patrick's Day consists of the night of the seventeenth of March flavored strongly with the morning of the eighteenth. ~Author Unknown

May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.
~Irish Blessing

So, success attend St. Patrick's fist,
For he's a saint so clever;
Oh! he gave the snakes and toads a twist,
And bothered them forever!
~Henry Bennett

Never iron a four-leaf clover, because you don't want to press your luck. ~Author Unknown

If you're enough lucky to be Irish, you're lucky enough! ~Irish Saying

A best friend is like a four leaf clover: hard to find and lucky to have. ~Author Unknown

May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light,
May good luck pursue you each morning and night.
~Irish Blessing

An Irishman is never drunk as long as he can hold onto one blade of grass to keep from falling off the earth. ~Irish Saying

Many an opportunity is lost because a man is out looking for four-leaf clovers. ~Author Unknown

New Camera

We have had our digital camera for years. Probably since Abby was about 1 year old! It was a Canon PowerShot SD 450 5.0 Mega pixel. Which is a low mp these days! So we finally broke down and bought a new Camera. With Abby playing soccer and so active in school and Brady growing so fast we decided it was time to upgrade.

I wanted to stay with a Canon because it had been such a wonderful camera for us over the years. So after talking with some friends and professionals and salespeople we decided to get the Canon PowerShot SX 20 IS. It is a 12.1 Mega pixel with a 20X zoom. The LCD screen will pull out and flip around so if you are on a timer you can actually see what your taking a pic of. It got great reviews on all the websites I checked out.

I hope I love it as much in years as I have this afternoon. What a difference from our old camera. I cant wait to capture some soccer shots and some great beach shots this year!! Oh and lets not forget Brady's first birthday party is in a few weeks!!

March Game Night

We had our monthly game night last night. The theme was St. Patricks Day. I think this may have been the best one yet. It all started when I realized I didnt have all the ingredients I needed to make my punch. Soooo we started playing around with no receipe trying to make punch. Me, Neil Patel, Jason Peace, and Cissy Peace laid out our thoughts and began mixing!! I poored in the Lime Kool-Aid, then Neil decided it was pineapple juice and taste test time. YUKKY, we needed more stuff, then we put in 7-UP and Lime Sherbert. THEN we could not stop drinking it. It was soo good and it was all gone before the games even started. LOL

We played Left Right Center first, its always our appetizer, it was an exciting game we played for candy instead of money this time. I guess you could say the stakes were even higher with candy! LOL We all wanted Neils Reeses Peanut Butter eggs! While I put Brady to bed apparently I missed the action of Chad putting his candy in Julies water instead of the center bowl! LOL Anson only put in the Jolly Ranchers he DIDNT like....LOL

After that some of the group played UNO, while the rest of us chatted and ate more! Then it was time, time for Rook and Scattegories. I am a Scattegories player all the way.

Scattegories players were myself, Julie, Kelly, Anson, and Chad. We are the usual group. Only Usha was missing this time! :( Things were going well until we rolled a "K", then when we moved on to the letter "H", I was right in the middle of my list when I realized I had used "K" again!!! WHAT??? SO I just stopped and tried to fix it as fast as I could. Here goes the round exactly as it happened:

Resturants : Hardees, Hooters, Red Robbin.....WHAT??? Who said that??? It was Kelly, she had used "R" for her entire list!! LOL But who was I to laugh, I had used "K" again! Funny we both used the wrong letter.

Then we moved on and had some very interesting answers for some of the rounds. These consisted of Emu Chasing as a hobby, Waste Basket as a world record, Extenze as a medicine...does that really work??? LOL That another entire blog so we will just say it was interesting. Its always so entertainging and fun, we never want to stop. We played 12 rounds!!! LOL

We had a great time as usual and I cant wait until next month or May. Next month is up in the air right now. Fun Fun!!
